Whales to Berg wine tour (3 Days)

This 3-day tour offers participants magnificent natural beauty, fine wine and food, and endless adventure off the beaten track.

We depart the old harbor port of Gordon’s Bay and head west on the iconic scenic coastal Clarence Drive which hugs the Hottentot-Holland mountains and the expanse of False Bay.

We then follow the R44 as it winds its way to the whale watching capital of the world, Hermanus.

After a lunch break in Hermanus, we head up the Hemel-en-Aarde valley past various Pinot Noir vineyards toward the stunning village of old world charm, Greyton, where time has literally stood still.

After spending the night in a charming local B&B, participants have the morning to wander the Greyton village market, after which we head to Genadendal and the oldest mission station in South Africa.

From Genadendal, we take the undulating gravel roads through the Overberg Mountains, traveling past orchards and vineyards as we make our way to the Elgin Valley with its myriad of hidden gem vineyards and experiences. We spend the night in a luxurious country farmhouse located on a vineyard.

Finally, we will make our way down Sir Lowry’s Pass and into Gordon’s Bay to conclude this epic 3-day tour.
